How our artwork is made
We sell AI-assisted art, and we would rather explain that clearly than let you guess.
The process
- Human direction. An artist sets the concept — subject, palette, composition, reference material and the feeling the piece should carry.
- AI generation. We use generative image models to explore many versions of that direction.
- Human selection. Most outputs are discarded. We keep only the ones that work as art rather than as a demonstration of a model.
- Hand finishing. Selected pieces are re-cropped, corrected for artefacts, colour-graded, and exported at print resolution. This is where most of the work happens.
- Print check. Files are proofed at large format before listing. Anything that breaks down at 24×36 inches does not go on sale.
What this means for you
- You are buying a finished artwork, not a raw model output.
- We do not claim copyright ownership over the AI-generated elements of a piece. What we grant you is a license to use the files, under the terms on our license page.
- We do not imitate living artists or reproduce protected characters, brands or real people. If you believe a piece infringes your rights, email us and we will remove it while we investigate.
Why we disclose this
Buyers deserve to know what they are getting, and several jurisdictions now require disclosure of AI-generated media. Stating it plainly also protects you: you know exactly what license you hold and what you do not.
